FALL 2024

  • Late August: Students arrive to campus (specific date is determined by program director)
  • Late August/Early September: Start class for NICO 401
  • September (2nd Week): Students begin scheduling a first committee meeting
  • September 10: Fall tuition statement I is available online
  • September 19: Registration for classes opens at 9:00 am
  • September 24: Regular Fall Classes Begin
  • September 30: Last day to DROP classes WITHOUT BEING CHARGED FOR TUITION; Last day to ADD classes. Students must be registered for three graduate-level classes to fulfill degree completion and visa requirements; Students submit IDP plans to QSB office
  • October 1: Fall tuition I due
  • October 10: Fall tuition statement II is available online
  • November 1: Fall tuition statement II is due
  • November 18: Winter Quarter registration opens
  • Mid-November: First meeting of student and thesis committee: Research plan is presented to the committee
  • December 6: Master's degree completion form due to TGS Fall master's candidates
  • December 9-14: Fall examinations
  • December 10: Winter tuition statement is available online

WINTER 2025

  • January 1: Winter tuition is due
  • January 1-24: CPT/OPT students: file application for degree for graduation end of Winter quarter (Winter Quarter ends on March 16)
  • January 6: Winter Quarter classes start
  • January 10: Last day to DROP classes WITHOUT BEING CHARGED FOR TUITION
  • January 31: Application for a degree due to TGS to receive a degree in Winter Quarter; Students must submit Spring Quarter thesis committee meeting date to the QSB office; CPT/OPT Students: Deadline to file an application for degree
  • February 7: Application for a degree due to TGS to receive a degree in Spring Quarter
  • February 24: Registration for Spring classes opens
  • March 7: Students must submit Spring Quarter thesis committee meeting date to QSB office
  • March 10: Spring tuition statement is available online
  • March 17-22: Winter examinations

SPRING 2025

  • March 31: Last day to submit applications to transfer from QSB program to IBiS program
  • April 1: Spring Quarter classes start
    • (Optional): First day to submit Application for Degree (for August graduation) that allows a student to participate in June commencement ceremonies.  The Application for a Degree form is available on the GSTS page.  Click HERE to access instructions and the application for degree form on the TGS website. 
    • Students planning to do an internship and who want to participate in the June commencement should submit an application for degree with an August completion date. (Note: If a student actually commits to the internship during the summer quarter, the student must withdraw their application for degree by contacting TGS after the commencement ceremony, but before July 11th. The Application for a Degree form available in the TGS Forms tab in GSTS
  • April 1: Spring tuition is due
  • April 7: Last day to DROP classes WITHOUT BEING CHARGED FOR TUITION
  • April 7: Summer Quarter registration opens
  • April-May: Spring-quarter thesis committee meeting; Goals are to highlight student's progress to date on research and discuss outline for thesis
  • April 22 (optional): Last day to submit Application for Degree (for August graduation) that allows a student to participate in June convocation ceremonies.  The Application for a Degree form available in the TGS Forms tab in GSTS.
  • May 10: Summer tuition statement is available online
  • May 30: Students must submit thesis examination date to QSB office.
  • June 9-13: Spring examinations

SUMMER 2025

  • June 1: Summer tuition is due
  • July 11: Application for degree due to TGS to receive a degree in Summer Quarter.
    • If participating in an internship and who filed an Application for Degree with an August graduation date, this is the last day to withdraw their application.
    • QSB students participating in the optional Internship/CPT program do NOT file for graduation in August, but instead, file at the end of the term that they will graduate.  The Application for a Degree form available in the TGS Forms tab in GSTS.
  • July-August 15: Thesis examination and public presentation of research
  • August 22: Last day to submit Master’s Degree completion form for August graduation.  The Master's Degree Completion form is completed using the TGS Forms tab in GSTS; Students doing internships need to register for QSB 595

FALL 2025

  • September 11 (approximate): Last day for QSB 595 registration
  • September 16: Fall 2025 Classes Begin
  • December 6 (approximate): Last day to submit Master’s Degree completion form for December graduation.  The Master's Degree Completion form is completed using the TGS Forms tab in GSTS.

 SPRING 2026

  • March 7 (approximate): Last day to submit Master’s Degree completion form for March graduation.  The Master's Degree Completion form is completed using the TGS Forms tab in GSTS.
